You can always load the game from the save you made or just carry on. I often leave the game running in one of my settlements just so i don't die. I'll save the game and leave the game running and come back too it.
Even if i have to go do something around the house for a hour or more.
Once i get the game loaded in a stable state i don't turn it off. Its not the amount of mods you have its Fallout 4 and how badly optimized the game is. I've played for hours without crashing by doing this. I might have to repeat this several times.īut you'll need up getting the game loaded that's stable and wont crash. Hit autosort / sort in vortex for my mods. There's also times where i load up the game and it'll crash in less than 5 minutes. I have war in the common wealth mod and i had to turn off all extra spawns in downtown Boston. Or if building every time your finish building a particularly hard area with terrible snapping. And manually save your game every 5 - 10 minutes. Or sometimes when saving my game freezes. When I play Skyrim I always use engine fixes, safe loads etc, I wonder if there is anything to reduce likely crashes for FO4.Ī video by JuiceHead about improving stability.
I was just wondering if anyone had any mod or ini suggestions that may give the game more processing power. Now I expect this honestly, with so many actors, mods and such, I assume the script is dying or a stray A.I or weapon load (or all the explosions) is causing the game to choke. However I have found that during this battle, every 5-10 minutes I get a freeze or full CTD. With my spawn mods active I have about 20-30+ bandits to deal with and its a blast what with all the modded weapons (including those deadly modern guns from the "modern firearms" pack which have about 100 damage per shot before level 10) The game has been mostly crash free for the first 5+ hours of my playthrough but I am in the middle of a huge firefight near the big excavation (the one you drain) near Starlight Drive in. Hey folks, so at the moment I am playing a heavily modded game, some 200+ or so mods.
